Sessional Instructor positions are in support of undergraduate teaching program at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Candidates are sought who fulfill either of the two following sets of criteria:
- Completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology or a cognate field with demonstrated expertise in the desired area of teaching. Preference will be given to applicants with a record of scholarly activity and/or graduate training in the area of teaching requested. Applications must include a statement of interest [specifying the course(s) sought], a current C.V., copies of scholarly works, and three letters of reference. Candidates should include course outlines and teaching evaluation summaries of previous courses taught. If employed full-time by another public BC post secondary institution, your employer's written approval is required.
- Graduate students in good standing in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Psychology at SFU (or UBC). Ph.D. candidates must have completed all course work, comprehensive examinations, and the dissertation proposal. Applicants in this category must submit three letters of reference, including a letter from their Senior Supervisor. In addition, a letter of support from the Supervisory Committee is required.
